EmptyWells
I’ve been passionate about alternative energy my entire life, and concerned about peak oil ever since my brain got around to recognising that nagging question - if we burn oil, won’t we run out.
At the same time, I’m a born capitalist, in my early life was a fund manager and have a good understanding of financial matters.
After a few years away from the markets, I found last year that my past experience gave me, for the first time, something of an overview of what was beginning to unfold in the financial world. I publicly predicted nothing, but suffice to say, I understood it and can only describe the time since as like sitting on a cloud, seeing what went on beneath with absolute clarity.
I’ve developed some quite strong and alternative views which those around me have either found insightful or miserable. I suspect there are more of the latter as I’ve felt an increasing need to warn and preach!
Most critically, my appreciation of the financial markets, concerns over energy sustainability have began to converge. As a result, I have a view of the world which is holistic and, right or wrong, find myself appreciating the interplay between unrelated areas of life.
This blog is an attempt to share those for whoever is interested, and little more. I’m no journalist, Google will unearth news on anything you care to read about. Equally, I’m no tipster although my beliefs naturally shape my own investment philosophy. I’m no economist but you will come to learn those I listen to and I hope I can distil some of their teachings into a more palatable form. I’m no expert and in fact the more I learn, the longer the list of what I don’t know grows. I am me though and hope, whether you agree or not, that in answering my own questions and sharing my thoughts, I may help you in some way.
